The Rail Park, built on a former Reading Railroad spur, is a quarter-mile elevated park in the Callowhill neighborhood that opened in 2018. Phase 1 transformed a section of the abandoned rail line into a landscaped walkway with benches, swings, and native plantings. When complete, the Rail Park will stretch three miles through diverse neighborhoods. The viaduct section offers unique views of Chinatown, Spring Garden, and the old industrial core of the city.
