Scrapple is a loaf of pork scraps and trimmings combined with cornmeal and spices, sliced thin and pan-fried until crispy. Invented by Pennsylvania Dutch settlers, it's a beloved breakfast staple in the Delaware Valley that bewilders virtually everyone else. The annual Apple Scrapple Festival in Bridgeville, Delaware draws thousands. In Philly, you'll find it at diners, food trucks, and the Reading Terminal Market.
